A Vogue interview, by Julie Q

JACLYN FIORIE descended on Rochester this week to sign teeshirts of her new company Starving Scholars.com, and caused quite a frenzy at the city's Rochester Institute of Technology. Sporting a Sixties-style Banana Republic tweed cape coat, and her brown Chloe Python Tote, the socialite happily posed for photos and gave interviews in front of legions of adoring RIT nerds, before turning her attention to them. Later on I sat down with the actress (getting rave reviews on her part as an extra in Cherry Crush) and talked with her about the new project, her love life, and what real estate she plans on selling in the future (commercial but of course)!

"Starving Scholars is to students, what the new round toe shoe is to the upcoming Fall Fashion lines" says Fiorie, who speaking of which, has just flown back from Fashion week in NYC. "I mean, when I was talking to Jay-Z and Beyonce about my company, while we were sitting in the front row of the Zac Posen show, they totally agreed that this should be out there available to all students!"

(at a press junket last week)
