Alumni Weekend in the ROC

This weekend we headed back to good ole Rochester, NY for some fun alumni festivities. Ventured off on the 5.5 hr drive Thursday afternoon apres work which definitely made Friday much more enjoyable. Stayed at Wads on Thursday and met them out for a drink (but technically it was Friday morning since we arrived around 12:30am). The next day Gus went out with the boys to go golfing and I met up with Miss Jaclyn for some lunch of Park Ave (aww my old neighborhood). Friday night was the Landing Strip, a Rochester bar that's a little less classy. Awesome night, got to see a lot of people we don't get to see that often. Some local people were better then that and couldn't make it, but I'm sure we'll see him in the next 5 yrs or so. Saturday they had a big barbecue at the Fraternity house, which was supposed to be recovery mode, before we learned of a Pub Crawl downtown. After the pub crawl, we go back to Adams for a much needed nap, and all of us ended up waking up at 7:30pm. Normally thats fine, except the Semi-formal we had to go to started at 7pm!!!!!!! I get ready in 2 minutes because I'm fabulous like that, but the boys continue to take 20 more minutes. Serious guys??? Formal was fun, but even more fun because a big group of guys came straight from the Pub Crawl dressed in camo shorts, drunkness, t's and jeans. Plus 2 random girls, who could not guess they would be going to a semi formal that night. Jenny's little sister Rachel was at the formal too, which was perfect because I haven't been able to hang out with Jenny in the last couple weeks due to scheduling conflicts :) Overall it was a really fun weekend and it was nice getting to hang out with everyone.
OH, I totally forgot, that Gus' fraternity raised a whopping $22,000 from Alumni. This was based on the fact that Adam said he would match all of the money donated by alumni at the party that night. "Are you sure Adam? You should probably give them a limit that you'll match", said the MC. A half hour later, the MC announces "We just heard from Adam that there is in fact a cap with the donations this evening. He is only willing to go up to a million dollars". Talk about philanthropy!

**On a Sad Note**: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT give your camera to random idiot girl dates. I asked this girl to take a picture of me and Rachel and she's like SURE! Then proceeds to grab my camera and fall flat on her face, dropping my Canon Powershot 550 on the ground, jamming the lens so that it can't take pics, or even close. Perfect. Order a water not a Pinot Grigio. Luckily I have my Nikon available, that i shelved once Gus gave me the Canon for my Bday.
