Apartment: VERY close to the mall!

An artist named Michael Townsend had a secret 750 SF apartment at the Providence Place in Rhode Island. Providence Place is a luxury mall that Bostonians frequented often b/c that used to be the closest Nordstroms. (thank you Natick Collection for making it a lot closer for us!) Him and some other artists friends built the place in the Parking Lot and had it for about four years!!

The apartment included a sectional sofa and love seat, coffee and breakfast tables, chairs, lamps, rugs, paintings, a hutch filled with china, a waffle iron, TV and Sony Playstation 2 -- although a burglar broke in and stole the Playstation last spring, Townsend said. The artists built a cinderblock wall and nondescript utility door to keep the loft hidden from the outside world.[source]

Unfortunately, plans for hardwood floors fell through when Michael came home and found 4 securities guards their waiting for him.

This reminds me of the Saved by the Bell Ep where the gang slept over night in a tent at the camping store! I'd probably pick the Pottery Barn...
