Weekend You Can't Come Soon Enough

So excited for this weekend. Tonite I hit up the grocery store (what--I thought all the cool kids did that on a Friday night) to buy ingredients for the first cake I've ever baked. Ever. I googled it to find a picture, and this blog had made it! I got the idea from the cover of Family Circle. My mom is going to help me prepare it tomorrow morning. Usually when my mom shows me how to cook, she does everything and I just say uh-huh. But this time I told her I'm doing everything myself, but she's there to monitor.. making sure I don't use salt instead of sugar, or vodka instead of milk.. The cake is for 'Time to Give Thanks to Fellow RBC'ers" Turkey Day Celebration. All our friends from college who now living in Boston are making a T-Day feast tomorrow afternoon. Plus right before the holiday feast, I get to attend my first baby shower that I mentioned earlier this week. Ga ga goo goo. No babies for me anytime soon, but I'm totally down for celebrating other people's kids!!!

Good luck with the cake! I'm sure it will turn out wonderfully. (What would a cake with vodka in it be like? Hmm...either glorious or very gross. I hope the former.)

Your picture is great! I had an Easy Bake Oven when I was little, but as soon as I used up the mixes that came with it, my mom refused to buy more. I think she was nervous I'd burn down the house.

Good luck with the cake! It looks so good! And I love the pic of the Easy Bake, very appropriate, haha.

And I agree with you. No kids any time soon, but other people's kids are great.

Happy Weekend! :)
