jqPod february playlist spruce up

following songs, welcome to the jq lounge iPod nano: "Foundation" by Kate Nash -- makes me want to fly to england, chug a pint and get in a bar fight with a wanker and then hop on a Big Red Trolley and go on a tour (but in an awesome sort of way)

"New Soul" by Yael Naim-- Apple Bandwagon? Yes please! I'm obsessed with almost every song featured on an apple commercial (i could've lived without 1-2-3-4), but this one could be my favorite.

"The State of Massachusetts" by the Dropkick Murphys-- need to show some Baystate pride.

Juno Soundtrack.. not going to lie, haven't listened to it yet! I just remember loving all the songs in the background during the movie so made it an impulse download request (thanks brother!). plus michael cera sings on the last track. schwa-wing.

Love the Juno soundtrack, it's very cute.

As for new stuff, of course I will campaign for Josh Kelley's newest CD and Ingrid Michaelson is pretty awesome too. I vote on both :)

The Juno soundtrack is pretty good, I just listened to it this morning. I love the Cat Power song on their from her The Cover Record. It's not new but I highly recommend it.

I've recently realized that half of my new music picks are coming from commercials (I also loved the latest Apple track, and discovered Griffen House after a Rembrandt ad!). Ad execs may just be the new A&R reps!

Don't know what any of these songs sound like because apparently I've been living under a rock that does not allow for musical enjoyment. I saw the new Jack Johnson CD at Starbucks today. Maybe I should have picked that up after all so I could have the scoop on that album for you. Oh well. Missed opportunity.
