Hmm this sounds like it could be its new category! I'm sure there will be more to follow..
- Breaking my MacBook cord by stepping on it with my heel. Trying to blame it on the dogs, but yeah, its totally because of my High Heel. Go to the MacBook store to pout, sulk and try and talk my way into a free replacement. Only to have the MacBook Genius walk me over to the fun little retail section where he points out the $79.99 MacBook Charger. Say what? $80?!? I could have just bought a new pair of shoes. So of course I walked away from buying it, and am trying to think of an alternative, which... there is not. So now I'm on the dinosaur desktop, remembering the good ole days where I got to watch 'Big Brother' in the living room in front of my Air Conditioner with my MacBook in my lap.
Still have 1 more day of seeking a cheaper deal online.. should be exhilarating.

13 Deep Thoughts:
Bless your heart. My friend broke her cord and she was able to call customers service (not in store) and they mailed her a cord within days! It's worth a shot.
This exact same thing happened to me, except instead of stepping on my cord with my heels I somehow tripped over the wire, pulled the plug out of the wall, destroying it :( I had to suck it up and buy a new cord, since I didn't have another computer.
I killed a cell phone by being to dumb to check the tightness of a bottle cap and throwing said bottle of soda into my purse. I literally had to pour the entire bottle of soda out of my purse and cry as my phone came out sticky, and dead.
I bought a mouse for my macbook - it was like $60 and it has a chord, it's not even the wireless one. Very much regret it...
ebay!!!
$80?! Please remind me to never ever break or lose my cord.
The hub broke his cord twice during law school, constantly rolling it up going from class to class. I don't remember if he paid for new cords though...?
that totally sounds like something i would do too. and i would definitely look for ways to not spend 80$, haha. good luck!
No such experience here, but I sympathize nonetheless. Wah!
did ya try ebay??
i swear i've gotten cords at apple for cheap - refurbished from returns or something.
or cry on the phone. that works too. =)
No Mac, no cord drama. But I feel ya homey. That sucks!
I have been throwing a lot of similar tantrums lately. Grr.
