I'm not THAT cold blooded..

Just when I start to think that I'm a cold blooded blogger for venting about Jessica Simpson, I stop by EW.com and click on the 25 most romantic movies since '83, and my heart just melts at the first movie (#25). Plus I mention a couple other favorites that made the list.

Beauty & the Beast. #25 Maybe I love this movie even more when my hubs (boyfriend at the time) let it slip that he was one of Gaston's friends in his 5th grade play. Sad that was where his theatre run ended.

Lost in Translation. #12 Alright I know I've heard a lot of mixed reviews from people about this movie "It was so boring", "I hated the ending" but I thought really enjoyed this flick. What I absolutely loved was Bill Murray singing Karaoke to Elvis Costello's "Peace Love and Understanding"

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind #6 First off, this is my favorite movie of all time. I even quoted this poem in my wedding program (it took about an hour to look up all of the big words in a dictionary to figure out if the poem was wedding program appropriate. it was) Ugh, this movie just kills me. Love it. Love. it. The music in it is amazing as well. I will most definitely watch it this week now.

Once. #3 I raved about this movie after I rented it. Definite rental. Plus you'll find yourself iTuning the sound track as soon as the credits are rolling. Rent it. Watch it.

Scrolling down the rest of the movies, I was wondering who would win: The Notebook or Titanic. Obviously in the back of my head I knew Titanic would win because of its success, but then I realized The Notebook wasn't even mentioned on this list! Holy Crikeys.. That movie would totally be a JQ pick. Plus Atonement and Pride and Prejudice...

Here's the list.

What's your ultimate favorite romantic movie?

No contest.

I can't decide! But, I am partial to Once because I have been into The Frames, the band that Glen Hansard has been in for quite a while. If you like the soundtrack to the movie, I think you would like his other band - http://www.theframes.ie/

For me, it's definitely Beauty and the Beast. I saw it on my first ever date, and have seen it more than 30 times since. I used to called B&B stuff, but have since stopped. I can recite the ENTIRE movie.

I agree w/ all your other highlighted choices, though, especially Once and Eternal.

Not quite sure how I found you, but I'm glad I did. I love it!
You just made me want to watch beauty in the beast for the first time in 10 years.
And I love the post you have below about the woman whose blog readers completely rallied around her. I'm somewhat new to this, but have already gotten that feeling from some bloggers. You get an instant bond with people I think!
