Someday I will look back and laugh at this

Until then, I'll cringe when I think about how I ruined $100 worth of J. Crew in the dryer. Note: when it says Dry Clean Only, don't even try to Tumble Dry it with No Air or else it will shrink into the size that a duck could wear!

At least the hubs got a good laugh out of it.

Anyone have a 3 year old who'd like some cableneck sweaters?!

Oh no! My mom has done this more times that she would like to admit. However...they do end up making very nice sweaters for any children in your life :)

The worst! I have done that before.

Julie, it has been ten minutes since I read this post and it is still cracking me up! We have all been there....too often maybe. Thanks for the laugh, though I am sorry about those sweaters!

OMG I didn't know that sweaters could actually shrink that much! I did ruin about the same amount of Ann Taylor by washing it and having the color come out in random streaks. Not cool, not at all cool.

Lol, thanks for your support. And Jill!!! I'm psyched to see you pop up in the comment section ;)

I was crying at the duck picture, and then I saw the Mister and fell out of my chair.

Fantastic. The post, not the sweater shrinkage.

R.I.P., sweaters.

I've done the same thing, and with JCrew sweaters too! Bastards.

I've done it too.

I also continuously wash my BR clothes that are all annoyingly "dry clean only." I've ruined everything. I don't know why I don't learn.

Maybe I should look at labels before I buy...

but if it makes you feel any better, it's totally something i would do too.

Julie, I couldn't help it. I laughed out loud at your tiny sweaters! I had to cover my mouth to hold in the laugh when I saw the picture with Gus. Too funny!! Hey, at least you have some great quality Christmas sweaters for some little kid. Or your pups. ;)

OMG. That is awful. I guess I am not quite at the laughing stage, with you. I would cry if I did that to my sweaters. OK, I did laugh at the duck and hubby photos. But I have a pain in my heart for your sad sweaters.

Oh no!!

Totally something I might do, though...I hate laundry with a passion and spend more than I should at the dry cleaners. Seriously, I hate laundry so much that Ive been known to buy new clothes rather than wash old ones. I dont own an iron. Ugh. I wish they had by the lb. laundry service here. I think you just inspired my post for the day, though!

I am sorry about your sweaters. :(
