Summer Shows: Volume 2

Oxygen's Tori & Dean. I'm not allowed to watch this in our living room since hubs has banned it due to cheesiness. I don't care, I'll watch it the basement, because I LOVE it! I never thought I'd be a big Tori Spelling fan, but damnit.. she is hilarious, and her children are the cutest munchkins ever. Yeah, her boobs stress out my friend, but I can look past that.

CBS Big Brother. 'Julie, do you watch Big Brother? Because you could do really well on that show' said my friend Neal a year or two ago. I had never watched the show before that comment, but you bet your ass I started tuning in after! While I can't tell if it was a compliment or not (due to the only way you can do well on that show is being fake, kissing ass, and backstabbing) but I'm going to say he meant it with the best intentions. I think this season looks promising, because there aren't too many oddballs. But its still early.

Bravo's Top Chef Masters. I don't watch the normal Top Chef series- but I really enjoy this show which brings in Famous Chefs around the Country to compete in challenges for the charity of their choice. I like this show because its more about the cooking, and less about the 'reality show' aspect. Except, the Boston Chef lost on the first episode. Wicked Pissa.

Plus, sometimes my friend even posts pictures on facebook of these Chefs in action in their own kitchen!

MTVs' 16 and Pregnant. Maybe its because I never paid attention in middle school when we had to attend Sex Education classes. Maybe they should show this series in school instead! I love how I'm 10 years older than these girls and I'm still scared sh!tless about being pregnant someday..

And finally, a sneak peak at the newest OC Housewife, Alexis. She's a hot blond, and I already love her, because you know that Vicki and Tammy are going to be BULLSHIT that she's much younger and prettier then them. Bring it!

I haven't seen any of these yet! I totally have a few shows banned in my apt too. Are you getting excited for Mad Men to start again?

a post about tori's boobs is coming, just a heads up. they're creepy!
you'd love regular top chef, for the record. because i do and that means we've got a 99% chance that you would.
i'm in housewife withdrawal.

I love Top Chef! Masters is good too, but they are all so cockey I want to smack them.

Poor Alexis.

I would add the Next Food Network Star to this list! Summer tv is not so bad anymore:)

I am totally digging Big Brother - it is starting to get good. My favorite line last night, "I haven't told anyone this. I'm a national champion in persuasive speaking." Uh....

you have to read "stori telling." i've never like tori spelling but i picked up her memoir while on my vacation and i was totally suprised. it made me sympathize and like her a lot. now she's a friend in my head.

WeeMo- I know you are, because you got me hooked!

Susan- YES!! I think we might need to refresh with some last season DVD viewing.

Emrlds- as long as it doesn't interrupt my House Hunters show, I'll check it out.

The Northerner- I totally picked up on the cocky vibe, BUT its hilarious when their dish doesn't come out on time.. because then they shut up!

Laurie- that's so funny you said that, because I like flipped out when he said that. Everyone is lying early on in the show. Ronnie (i think thats him) is going to burn out quick.

Katelin- check it out! If you like Violet Affleck you'll love her little kiddies

Kate- I didn't read that book, but i did buy Mommywood, which I'll get around to reading soon. i think she's got a great voice in how she talks- much like a blogger!

Classy in Philly- You must have been sad to miss so much great tv while you were in Rome, but yeah, i think the amazing experience makes up for it ;)

I'm a HUGE fan of Top Chef Masters. The only downside to the show is the annoying hostess of the show, Kelly. She just bugs.

Ohmygosh, I ADORE Tori & Dean. What a great couple -- Dean should totally win husband/father of the year. And their kids are just the sweetest!
