Have you seen this dog?

This labor day weekend started my training for a 5K coming up at the end of the month. So this morning I walked a 5K in order to get used to how long it actually is (fact: it is long). After 2.5 miles in, the hubs, Lexie and I came across this sign, and am wondering if you can help.

Have you seen this dog?

I've picked up the following clues according to this sign.

  • The dog has 2 chicken legs
  • The dog is a rectangular
  • The dog is very happy
  • The dog is twice the size of the 3 could-be houses he is missing from
Update: when I went back to actually grab a picture of this sign, I saw a mom sitting outside on the front lawn watching her 3 children ride bikes around their driveway. I asked if they were the ones who lost the dog, because I loved their signs, and she smiled, turned to her kids and said 'You hear that, guys? She loves the signs you made.' And then gave me an update of the missing dog.
It was a neighbor's dog who ran out of the back yard and had been missing for about 10 minutes. The kids did the right thing and went straight to the paper and Crayola markers to help out. Even though the dog had returned home, they wanted to do their due diligence and keep the neighborhood safe.

The dog is doing just great and his chicken legs were unharmed.
