Fall/Winter Makeup Cleanse

Goodbye Bare Essentials! After noticing I was breaking out like a 13 year old the past couple of weeks I came to the conclusion that my skin is way too dry for Mineral Powder. Plus the brushes were too high maintenance and unless you washed them every day, I'm sure that just didn't help..

Plus I was a hot tranny mess every time I tried to apply it. And some days I forgot to put it on before I got dressed and had to deal with figuring out how to get Medium Beige Powder off my JCrew Cardigan. Not an easy fete.

Cue in sad JQ walking into a Sephies during lunch and asking them to cure me. I immediately headed to NARS and started grabbing whatever foundation looked bronze and goddesslike (my natural tone) when finally a lady came over to talk to me. "I want my face to go away" I told her, and after taking a look, she asked if I'd ever heard of Korres? Nopers, I had not. She then went on and on to talk about how it would be perfect and make everything fabooloos, plus help clear up my skin in the process. After she applied the Wild Rose set (serum, moisturizer, liquid foundation, concealer, blush and gloss) I was a changed women. I felt SO much better knowing it wasn't going to fade away within the hour, and my skin felt dewy and fresh, instead of caked all over. I only picked up the Foundation ($14 cheaper than NARS foundation!), Concealer and a pretty natural gloss.. PLUS I just found out about the Sephora Friends & Family deal this week so I will be hitting it up Sephie's again later for the rest of the items.

Plus, do you spend way too much at Sephora each year are you a VIB? Because I brought in my coupon and got the Too-Faced Mascara Gift!

Now its going to take some discipline on my part. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE DURING THE DAY, JULIE. But I think its is a lovely start.

And to all you beautiful ladies with perfect skin, bitches cheers to you. I hope to be in your category soon.

I had the same problem this year and had to switch from mineral foundation b/c my skin was too dry. I also asked a friendly Sephora consultant to help. The only difference is that I walked away with Make Up Forever, which is great.

How did women age gracefully before Sephora?!! It's a lifesaver.

Hmm. I should not tell you what I do with my skin.

Hint: Starts with "no" ends with "thing."

Hannah, Day 1 where I put the makeup on myself? I feel absolutely amazing, and it smells really good too (never happens with my old liquid foundation). I haven't felt confident like this in awhile (if you have red marks on your face.. that will suck the life out of you)

what a coincidence, my natural skin tone is "bronze and goddesslike" too! ;) right now, my skin feels pretty amazing but i'm going to give those props to the prenatal vitamins. i'm sure it will be back to a mess after the little guy gets here! i'll have to try this out...

this is freaky deaky because I've been in the market for some new makeup (I'm tired of the MAC stuff) and I was planning on going into Sephora this week.

I get really bad breakouts from makeup and other facial products so I NEED products that are nice to my skin..I'm definitely going to have to check Korres out!

OMG I used to wear nothing but MAC makeup, until I started breaking out as well and I had to get facials and the facialist told me that the 1st ingredient in a lot of those make-ups are vasoline. So I use Coldwater Creek's spa organic makeup called Mirabella. It is AMAZING!! And they always have it on sale, so if that doesn't work, you should try it, but cheers to awesome new fall makeovers!! WOOT!

That's so funny the ladies who all mentioned MAC. Cos that's what I was wearing for foundation for the last week or so after kicking Bare Essentials to the curb! Believe me, Korres has been the way to go! I know its only 3 days in, but you can tell SUCH a difference in lightness and coverage.
