Why I am at Fault for the Party Crashers.

While discussing the Today Show interview with the Salahis this morning among some colleagues, I came to the conclusion that it was my fault this was a headlining story in the first place.

Let me step back a little.

When people ask me what TV I like, my usual response is 'Trashy Reality TV' (and that's mostly true). Welp, because of my love for Bravo TV's Housewives.. we are now introduced to the crazies who will do anything to gain this new found fame via reality tv. First it was Balloon Boy grabbing world wide attention so his jerk off parents could get their own tv show, and now its become more common for these shenanigans to pop up in our Media.

So what to do.. stop watching the housewives? I'm not going to lie, the current OC Season is kind of depressing. Hey, let's watch families get destroyed because their moms are selfish jerks who let the fame get to their head and will kill to keep their materialistic image, their husbands who's businesses/egos failed, and kids who turned to drugs and/or created dumb skincare lines. (Note: this is only for OC, the other Cities are perfect and flawless. ha!)

Something tells me the Housewives series will go on and on and on, and I'll most likely continue to watch. And with that we open this Pandora Box of what people will do to grab a piece of the cash cow, attention and fame.

But honestly? I like my trashy reality TV after 10pm on Thursday nights, not before my coffee at 7am when I watch my favorite tv [these guys]

Who are "these people"?

I totally think that the RHOC are sad...always have been. For anyone but the NY cast it has been so obvious for so long that they were clearly living beyond their means. That's not to say that I don't watch and love every minute of it, but I think having people like them could be a real wakeup call to those who think that it is so important to have so much "stuff."

As for the crashers. I'm not sure why this is such a big deal. I just turn it off. Talk to me about Tiger, now that's a story I'm interested in!

I totally agree with you on how you AND me could (possibly) be to blame for these types of fame-seeking folks. we eat this type of reality tv garbage up!

but the difference between me, you and these crazy people is we seek this kind of entertainment to fill a small part of our lives. these people seek this kind of entertainment to be their entire life.
