Ahh Christmas Vacation. If you're not eating dinner with friends, watching movies, reading the kindle or straight up napping... you manage to get a little shopping in as well.
We'd been looking for new bedding for the longest time at Bed Bath & Beyond, HomeGoods, etc. but nothing jumped out. Finally in a last chance effort, the trek was made to Target. And the rest is history. This Dark Grey fancy schmancy looking set was only $79.99 and it included a helluva lot. Then picked up some 400 Thread Count gray sheets for $34 (on clearance- booyakasha). Let's just say, its now the comfiest bed I've ever slept in... The only thing that was annoying is that I had to buy 2 'euro' pillows since the sham pillowcases in the set were meant for Euro Pillow (but they were only $9.99 each so it wasn't too bad) and for any of you who want to know what a Euro pillow is? Its just a Square pillow.
Hubs calls this my Trophy table. Only because I randomly bought it at HomeGoods without asking his opinion, since it was the most glamorous, gorgeous, beautiful table ever. Which then of course I had to pick the perfect Lamp to go with it. My mom joked that it looks like something a grandmother would decorate with, but I just took that as a Betty Draper from the 50s gigantic compliment.
And now to the kitchen. Since its an old outdated kitchen, the key is spiffy accessories. If you've ever been to my place, you know how obsessed I am with tea light candles. This little decoration was only $12 on clearance at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and it makes me smile every time I walk into the kitchen.
Last but not least? A docking table & spice rack!!! Ahhh the things that amuse me. But seriously, the docking table is an awesome invention. This way you'll always know where your phone is. And the spice rack? Our previous one was about 3 years old, and I ran out of Oregano.. Perfect reason to buy an entire new rack of spice.
And btw, Happy Back to work day... eeeeeeeeek!
