Every October I love to highlight a few items that donate a portion of their sales to Breast Cancer Research. Before I share some of the items, my best wishes go out to Giuliana Ranci, who announced earlier this week she has Breast Cancer. I was absolutely crushed when watching the Today Show and hearing her talk about it.. it was such an eye opener that this can happen to anyone, there had only been one case of it in her family. She has a tough road ahead of her and won't be at it alone, since she is so well loved by her family and the public.
Ellie Fund is a non-profit organization that fights breast cancer and eases cancer's effects on patients and families by providing childcare, housekeeping, groceries, nutritious prepared/delivered meals and transportation to medical appointments free of charge to hundreds of women and family members across Massachusetts each year. What a great thing they do. Seriously.
And all the jewelry on gemvara.com is dazzling and gorgeous!
FYI, Lacoste is having their Friends & Family 20% off sale online only til Sunday.
Another way to prep out for a good cause? The Lilly Pulitzer Full of Hope Charm bracelet, pictured above. Lilly is donating $10,000 to The Breast Cancer Charities of America this month.
All this shopping has me hungry. Good thing Edible Arrangements has a few delicious packages that celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness, including Pink Dipped Strawberries and Heels for Heeling with pink dipped pineapples. 10% of those orders goes towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
And since we know makeup is my favorite thing in the world, I end with Bobbi Brown's lip duo set. $10 from the sale of each set to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For more fun and fabulous beauty items, check out Harpar's Bazaar list for Breast Cancer Awareness 2011.
