Treat YO Self: Part 1

This video from Parks and Rec says it all:

A few fab things I think you should treat yo self to...

Neuma Hair Product: When I was getting my hair did last week, I could not get over how amazing the shampoo and conditioner smelled during my wash. Peppermint and freshness. My stylist then told me all about Neuma and how its a Sustainable Product that launched in the summer of 2010. Their products contain no synthetic fragrance – only 100% pure essential oils and naturally derived plant extracts. My hair has never felt so shiny and healthy. It was quite the splurge at $48 for Shampoo/Conditioner and a Bonus 'Style Extender' spray (aka renews your hair for another day if your baby girl decides Mama is not going to wash her hair that morning) but its completely worth it when your hair smells that amazing after a shower. TREAT YO SELF

Dior Addict Lip Glow: So winter is coming, and your lipstick just doesn't cut it when you try to put it on your dry cracked lips. Nothing in the world is as embarrassing as looking in the mirror and realizing your lipstick turned crusty. Christian Dior Addict Lip Glow is probably the fanciest most expensive lip balm you will ever buy (its a whopping $29) but you will feel like a queen every time you put it on.

I've only been using it for a week and its absolutely magical!

Holiday Cards: Some years I remember to put a little photo shoot together for a Holiday Card, and its the years where I forget (or am too lazy) I get so envious of all my crafty friends who remembered and are awesome enough to send our family one. This year, there are SO MANY awesome deals going on, so TREAT YO SELF and send some holiday cheer to your friends and family. Tiny Prints, snapfish, shutterfly are just a few places to shop.

Super Mario 3D Land on 3DS: When Nintendo sent me Super Mario 3D Land for 3DS, I screamed! You don't know how obsessed I am with Super Mario Brothers 3. In college, one of our roommates brought her old school Nintendo from home and all 4 of us girls would play it on and off for hours. We would just leave it on, and then whoever was home would chime in. And not to set girls back or anything, but we would be SO EXCITED if we actually beat the game (which didn't happen as often as we would like). Now that I have it on my 3DS, its such a fun treat when I get some time to play it. The 3D aspect of it is intense and took some getting used to (I'd get scared if Mario had to jump from way up high because I literally felt like I was falling). This is the perfect gift to TREAT YO SELF with. Tough Guy still gets a crack out of how I'll go back to the first level just to stock up on coins and 1ups.

My Curls post: for real, if you haven't tried out the youtube curls tutorial from my Curls, Curls, Curls, post.. you MUST treat yo self and do so. I've gotten so many emails and texts of friends who have done it, and its 100% amazing results so far. Above is a pic from earlier this month when I was in upstate NY for a friend's wedding!

I'm so thrilled that my brother's episode spawned a term that is now in pop culture vernacular! :)

If there was a "like" button, I'd like WeeMo's comment. And I'd "like" this post, too, of course. :)

PS, I treat myself to mani/pedis. Every two weeks. I figure its an indulgence but so worth it to escape the house, dogs, husband for 2 hours.
