This year I had the pleasure of attending Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation Event. Held at the Hyne's Convention Center, it was a beautiful night in Boston to take the T into town.. this move was properly calculated so Tough Guy could pick me up after the event since there were many tasty brews and beverages served along with the most amazing food ever.

100% of all the ticket sales are granted to organizations that work to end childhood hunger, both in Boston and in other communities across the country.
There were over 70 Boston Restaurants and 30 wineries and Breweries featured.. along with a Silent Auction (more on that later) and live music.
The No Kid Hungry Campaign aims to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. But its not just donating food. It enrolls children in need in effective federal nutrition programs and also teaches families how to cook healthy meals on a budget.
It was so great to see some of my favorite local bloggers such as Chelsee from We Are Not Martha, Becca from MA Girls Pint Out, Pam from Cave Cibum, Steven from one of my favorite Tumblr accounts ever, and Susan from Transient Travels- who, btw, did SUCH an amazing job to help organize this event! Soon there may be some footage across the world wide web of an interview Chelsee did that I pretty much photo bombed the entire time..

Tough Guy has also learned not to let his wife go to a silent auction when there is champagne involved.. or else she will come home with this amazing 'prize'!!!
YES. FIONA APPLE TICKETS!! He surprisingly declined the invite to partake in this amazingness in June. GNO!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, please, please stop by strength.org and sign the petition to support the No Kid Hungry Campaign today! And check out their facebook page as well for more updates.
