Hope everyone had an wonderful Christmas! I've had a blast clicking around seeing all the cool things people got. Gus and the family did a kickass job this year.

Last year it was a Pajama Gram.A bunch of Giftcards! Sephora (YES!!), Bertuccis (yum Dinner), Atlantic Fish Company (for a fun night out in Boston), LinensNthings, Sephora again. And some generous donations of cash that unfortunately go straight into the Cozumel Vacation fund..

OH and Yoga Toes!I wish I could put them in my sneakers- sssoo comfy!

Debut of the Christmas Card

Even though this probably should have been done during the first week of December!Hope everyone has a good Thursday- has anyone elses week felt messed up? So far every day has felt like a Thursday, and today feels like a Friday.. (but I have to work tomorrow so thats why I'm confused as to why this is going on....) Anyhoo, we have our Christmas Party tonite right after work! Woo hooo
*Note we did a batch of "Happy Holidays" cards as well, this is a non denominational blog.*

UPDATE: And no my last name is not Lohan (but thank you Marriage 101 with that hilarious comment!!), I just changed it for the public viewing. I was going to write Spears, but after JL's latest doing, the choice got upgraded to Lohan.

How would you like that gift wrapped?

I think I'm the only person in the world who finds absolutely nothing wrong with gift cards. "Ohhh they're sssooo impersonal", "It's like you're saying you don't even know the person, or care about them". I think its quite the opposite actually. I think its that you love that person SO MUCH you want to allow them to buy whatever makes them happy! That's true love right there. Well Brian Williams caused my perfect view of gift cards to be a tad tainted. Apparently we waste 8 billion dollars in frickin unused gift cards. WHAT? That definitely doesn't count my household, because you bet your gonads I will be in that store within2-3 weeks spending all of that money- and obviously a few extra bucks.

Me: Oh Gus, I forgot to tell you I made you a cd for your car!

[*note: Gus has been trying to internally install Sirius in his new car and let's just say, only the CD player is working at the moment]

Gus: For real? Sweet.. did you put any Christmas songs on it?

Me: No, its mostly gangster rap

[*note: Not really ganster rap, just some new Kanye, Jay-Z, and Diddy that is AWESOME btw]

Gus: Yeah right- you know you snuck some Christmas tunes on it.

Me: No really.. I didn't, there wasn't enough room on the cd. Its just rap. Do you want a Christmas cd?

Gus: NO.. what are you talking about. What guy listens to Christmas cds by himself?

Me: Friends listen to endless love in the dark.


Now I'm obviously making a ridiculous christmas soundtrack for tomorrows commute.

Chocolate Chipmas Cookies

This morning I grabbed all of my family circle magazines (yes I'm a tool who always buys them for $1.99 at the supermarket when I'm in line thinking there will be a wonderful & easy dinner recipe and I will somehow fall in love with cooking. still waiting for that special Family Circle issue to come out!) and asked Gus which Christmas Cookie looked the most delish to bake. "Nope that's okay, just make me Chocolate Chip- they're my favorite!" he replies. So I googled "the most amazing recipe", and low and behold.. "Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe".

Now this story seems too perfect to be true. And it is, because I totally burnt the second tray of cookies (think i put too much Pam on the tray). But since we're hosting a few friends for the pats game this afternoon, Gus dove into the "bad batch" that I was going to chuck in the trash, so our guests would have dibs on the delish ones :) Now that's picture worthy..Thought I'd throw in a picture of Gus' new Christmas hat that allows him to walk proud through the streets of Massachusetts.Go pats.

Apples to Apples!

The good news is, after yesterday's rough rough morning, things seemed to brighten up after a nice little nap and numerous doses of advil. We ended up picking out a kick ass xmas tree! Will definitely be posting pics later (when ALL the decorating is done!). Then we headed over to Neal & Jenny's 2nd Annual Xmas Soiree. While I got a little queezy just looking at the delicious wine and alcohol they served, I stuck with the excellent lemon/lime water punch. The best party game ever is Apples to Apples. I'd never heard of it before, but I really can't see how this is a childrens game. Its so much better playing with crazy grownups (even though I still don't consider myself a grownup). 4. It's a Wonderful Life & The Family Man (with Nick Cage- yah i know- not a typical Xmas movie- but they ALWAYS show it on Thanksgiving and i flippin' love it) & How The Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon edition) are some of my most favorite Christmas movies.
5. My favorite Christmas lyric(s) is/are Santa Baby, forgot to mention one little thing.. a ring.

6. I'm dreaming of a Christmas vacation that's longer than 1 day. Blarf.

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to dinner with the hubs and then who knows, tomorrow my plans include buying a christmas tree, putting together a christmas card photoshoot with the d-o-g who hates dressing up as an elf (i can already tell), and then we have a Christmas party and Sunday, I want to stay in my pj's, tv & dvds, blog, Patriots game (i only watch it out of love) and do absolutely nothing else!
