Obsessing over Naughty Betty. These brutally honest sayings are showcased on T-Shirts, Paper Goods, Magnets, Greeting Cards, etc. They even have a fun Bridal section- where each Bridesmaid has a shirt meant for her too! I wish I'd thought of all this!!

Pining for all the new shows to come back in September! They've just announced the start dates for all my favorite shows later on that month... but in the meantime, its nice to know that Big Brother, True Blood, Mad Men, Bethenny Getting Married, Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, Top Chef, My Life on the D-List are there to hold me until September comes. Oh, and can we talk about how I like a Real World cast for the first time in about 6 years? New Orleans cast is like they finally went back to the old school types of people they'd cast.

Surprised that I enjoyed She's Out of Your League. We'd put it off from renting on Apple TV for quite some time because the cast just didn't jump out at me. Finally we watched it this past weekend, and it was actually funny! Granted, I still kept on replacing the cast with what I felt it should include (Seth Rogen & Jonah Hill I usually cast in everything in my head). Definitely a fun rental.

Planning a Baby Shower for one of our best friends, Gennylite, who's expecting her first baby next month!! L-lo and I may or may not have got lost in the baby section of Target, trying to figure out what most of the stuff was, but we've got lots of fun games & things planned and I'll make sure to take lots of pictures this weekend!

Embarrassed that I watched about 5 hours straight of The Hills marathon this past Sunday. Just when I thought I could go on with my life without it, it came back for one final moment. Just in time for it to REALLY be over with. Now we wait for Allie Lutz to get her spin-off. But everytime I see the beauty that is Brodie Jenner, I can't get over the fact that he dates Avril. She's always reminded me of a bratty rhodent. And him? A beautiful work of 5 o'clock shadow.

• feeling a Sports Hangover coming my way. Hitting up a Celtics Game today (my sister in law got us tix for Christmas, so we're all going to grab some lunch in the North End then head over to the Garden) and then its Superbowl Madness thereafter. Celtics games are SO FUN! Except I've noticed every time I take pictures at a game, they look EXACTLY like the last game.
• Excited about HBO's new project to reveal the glamorous world of blogging through a show called Tilda. I just hope they keep Amy Adams 5 miles away from the set..
• happy we did not get one inch of snow. I feel for ya DC! Not sure how Boston weaseled its way out of this one.
• trying not to shop for vacation. trying is the key word.
• wondering if my husband has any clue its Valentines Day next Sunday

• Thinking this season of America's Next Top Model sucks. I cannot remember one girl's name from the show.. except for Nicole, the awkwardly social chick. Ehh, smizing can't save that show right now.
• Excited for Parks & Recreation tonite. This season has been ridiculous.. its like a whole new show! Aziz and Louis C.K. Keep doing what you're doing.
  

And yeah, am I the only one who loved Where the Wild Things are? I saw it last Sunday at the IMAX theatre, and really enjoyed it. Yeah.. its no Disney movie, its a little dark and crazy, but the Muppets were amazing, and I seriously wanted to change Rocco's name to Carol after.

• trying to pick out the best outfit to rock my newest Hautelook arrival. It was $40 marked down from $200. Turquoise is fierce.
  

• drueling over the pretty trinkets at Eclectic Orchid's etsy shop. I found it over at That Short Girl's blog, my first time stopping there after seeing a link for her first blog giveaway. Make sure you stop by and leave a comment to enter! I was scared that this bracelet was going to get scooped up in the meantime, so I bought it. No more worrying :)
• wondering when i'm going to rock a red headband, but these were on sale at the GAP for $3.99 each, and they actually fit my dome! (most headbands do not) Plus I like how they have an elastic included so it looks like they are tied together when you wear both.
  
• loving these new design/style blogs that I've come across recently. Pretty things do make me happy! CreateGirl, Darling Dexter, coco & kelley, and the city sage just to name a few!
  

Currently..

• renovating my hallway. a small little hallway, that has taken so far 15+ hours to make faboolooos. ofcourse, bluetape is not my friend, and I have to wait 1 more day to finish. The best part? I based the wall color off of Kelly & Donna's 90210 beach house- with a Behr pastel color called Sweet Juliet. Donna Martin would be proud. Reveal coming soon!
• waiting for this to arrive in the mail! Yummy Mummy posted about it and I ordered it right away (no- her blog isn't ruelala.com!) SPEAKING of YM. I won a kickass Giant Cupcake from Partyworks on her blog and I have to figure out when to order/pick it up before the end of the month! Ohhh the stresses I stress over :)
• Counting down the days til the best shows ever to come back. Mad Men, Always Sunny, Curb your Enthusiasm... hold up... I should be brushing up on their last seasons by watching the DVDs! And can I just request that True Blood be picked up for 25 more episodes this season? Its the best tv out there these days.
• Bloggers, Bloggers, everywhere! If it ain't about the blog, ya know i just don't care. Its awesome meeting some new cool chicks & this summer alone has been crazy with stuff going on. LivitLovit is in town on Friday. While I have a concert earlier in the night I hope to join the crew of local ladies and their poor guys who have to partake in a blogger meetup (my hubs included!)
• CRACKING UP over this chick's blog! I think she should devote her entire blog to conversations with her mother (gchat, phone... i want it all)

• working out after an embarrassingly long hiatus. July = awesomeness that is Cape Cod and Charleston, South Carolina. Even throwing in a personal trainer once a week.. holy crap that is expensive. But any man who can get me to do lunges for 20 minutes and THEN jump on a tred mill and work out for another 40 min after that.. is worth probably 2 million dollars.

• reading 'domino: the book of decorating' What a fun funky book with a pretty cover so you can leave it on your dog chewed up coffee table. I'd love to learn more about decorating and this seems like a nice read for beginners. Plus you get a free subscription for Domino (or can add a year on to your current subscription). Granted it was an impulse buy at borders, I saw it online at overstock.com and amazon for much cheaper! (at least I used a coupon)
• loving my 2009 planner! I thought a Kate Spade one would be much more expensive (since I had gotten a 2006 planner of hers as a gift once) but it was only $20! If you order it at Crane & Co, make sure to check out their clearance on paper goods. Lots of cute preppy Thank You notes for super cheap..
• sick of winter. Sunday we got 9 more inches of snow. that's all I have to say about that.
• pondering if I should stick with my hair stylist. I'm not even getting highlights anymore and it still seems super pricey, but she does give an awesome cut job...
• having a PANIC ATTACK over what to do about my Monday Night for television. With House getting switched over to Mondays, there are now 5 of my favorite shows on at the same time: House, Gossip Girl, The Bachelor, Big Bang Theory/How I Met Your Mother, & 24. Tivo can only record 2 of these shows, for which I have to go into a separate room to watch another, leaving 2 shows for the birds. It sounds like I'll be giving up GG... but I haven't decided on the 2nd show to give up.
  
• wondering if this Canadian dude cracked the ABC Spoiler Alert picking which chick wins the Bachelor. He does have a good theory- what do you think?

• wondering WHY we get all of the campaign commercials for New Hampshire. Seriously, if I see one more hate bashing commercial between John Shananay and Jean The Mean Shaheen, I might have to do all in my powers to avoid that state- even though I need to drive through it to get to Vermont. You think McCain's bad. These two deserve each other.
  
• trying to figure out who from R-dale google's "Julie Q Lounge" every day to get to my blog. I tried to make the domain name easy to remember.... or better yet- just make it your computer's homepage. De-lurk yourself! pretty please?
• laughing at how many people have gotten to the blog today by typing in "Jelly Jim", the best character EVER on the hills.

• SO EXCITED! That 20SB's Ultimate Blogger Meetup chose Boston as its Venue. I can host at least 10 of my favorite bloggers at my house that weekend. Only if you promise that we can do mani/pedis while watching marathons of The Soup! Um... SoCal bloggers, you better be coming too (y'all know who you are)....... Nanette, I'll even offer to babysit ;)

• feeling like a failure with Roccos Modern Home. Thanks Caroline for reminding me! I know I haven't updated it in a gizillion years, its just that Gus has done most of the projects and I have to glue him to a chair to write a post! But he'd rather play basketball and do fantasy football in his free time ;) I promise we will write our first real post this weekend!!!
• Wondering what a good nights sleep would be like if I didn't have two rottweiler bassetthounds who jumped in my bed when i'm in a deep sleep, only to steal my covers and basically push me off the bed.

• LOVING the new fall TV lineup. Gossip Girl? One Tree Hill? <-- i'm sorry but the little kid jamie on OTH still makes me want to punt a baxter-like dog off of a bridge just like in Anchorman... Big Brother? 90210? The Shield? And that's only Monday and Tuesday night. 90210 is so ridiculous, Hannah Zuckerman-Vasquez? If that didn't make all the hardcore 90210ers night, I just don't know what would do it.. other then that, gossip girl is such a wittier ballsy show. But hey- there's enough trashy tv to go around.
• wondering if John McCain is even in the election anymore. The Republican party right now is like General Hospital meets Degrassi High meets Grumpier Old Men meets Zoey101 meets Juno meets a future MTV show based solely on Heidi and Spencer. McCain should've picked Michael Phelps.. silly republican.
• cracking up at the striking similarities between Kermit the Frog and Christian Bale
  
• uploading about 3,498,930 pictures from my camera. Oh- and I DID find the "before" picture card, so once I have a free minute- I'll divulge to you how we renovated our bathroom. EXCITING STUFF PEOPLE.
• Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams back together?!?!?! I think that is THE ONLY couple in Hollywood that I'd buy a magazine cover solely to read about them because i'm actually interested. Well.. that and what once was Reece and Ryan.
• proud to be Italian. Had an awesome time at the Italian Fest in the North End this weekend with Ali and Jess. I tried to take a WeeMo-esque picture of our yummy food, but I failed miserably!
• Dear Solange Knowles, you are NOT a diva so don't act like one, but I do love your new song SandCastle Disco. And that other one that sounds like The Supremes.
• Super happy for my friend Erica who recently got engaged to her longtime sweetheart, James!!! Erica is one of the longest readers of the JQ Lounge, back when her and I were probably the only 2 readers. CONGRATS Erica!!!! And her ring is gorgeous, he did an excellent job. Whhaaahh now I want to go buy a Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine, dress up in my wedding dress that I still have not gotten cleaned and watch TLC's A Wedding Story.

• dreading the whole 'moving' thing during the middle of the summer. I'm the type of girl who packed for college in 15 Abercrombie & Fitch bags (and then cut them out and pasted the half clothed guys around my dorm room after).
• waiting for Lil Lexie to come home! She's been in heat the past couple of weeks so once she gets spade (Wednesday we hope!!)-- we'll have the cutie pie come home.
  
• eating VERY healthy this week. Last week on my business trip totally eff'd up the spring health kick I got going..
  
• disappointed in myself for having not seen Sex & The City yet!! I swear i'm a huge fan of the show (and have not heard any spoilers yet! Woo hoo)
• very happy with how The Today Show and NBC treated the Tim Russert story today. Very tasteful, keeping good spirits, but not forgetting how tragic it all is. Tom Brokaw said to say a prayer for Tim, and also the Buffalo Bills. (Sorry Tom Brady!)
• Putting together some sort of Green in my outfit to support the Celtics! Beat LA! Beat LA!

• chucking all my sweaters and jackets down to the basement.. 80 degrees yesterday! When I sat outside by the Charles River for lunch, I told my coworker this was NICER than Mexico cos there was no humidity!!
• trying to justify why I spent $32 on 2 small pads of stationery (pictured above from their website). Boatman Geller has THE CUTEST designs, and c'mon.. pink and green alligators with my very own name on it? Could be the coolest damn thing ever.. very preppy. At least I found a 10% promotion code online so the $8 ground shipping didn't made me that angry. Maybe Boatman Geller will feature me on their blog that talks about celebrity clientele?
  
• wondering what to use as my defense when my mom reads the last bullet and immediately calls me to tell me why I shouldn't be buying $32 on 150 small sheets of paper..
• questioning why I still watch the hills.. there I said it. The show is horrible. Brody Jenner hasn't been on lately. Lauren and Heidi make me cringe. They should get rid of those two and let Audrina, Whitney, Justin Bobby, and Stephanie Pratt hang out. OH and bring back Elodie. Obvi.... Lauren looks/acts like she's been defeated by life, she's in defense, angry scorned lover mode 24/7 and is just reaching out for followers to live by her Laurenisms.. And Heidi and Spencer? Great acting, they almost pass for people who don't date and aren't living together! um.... nope

• Getting super excited for the new job that starts Monday!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if my alligator stationery will get delivered by then?! If that doesn't say business woman.. I dont know what will!

• celebrating a sales promotion @ work. not bad to come back to after a weeks long vaca. didn't want to mention the interviewingness until i knew i got the job :) so there's a good chance i'll be traveling to some cities with my blogger friends in it within the next few months!
  
• peeling off half my arm from a 'bout' with sun poisoning
• uploading about 100+ pictures from mexico
• staying away from a scale.. quesadillas, blue margaritas, and mexican nachos for breakfast are friggin amazing!
• trying to catch up on bloggage. i feel so out of the loop! anything redonculous happen in the past week with any of y'all?! let me know!
• wondering who got voted off ANTM? and Paradise Hotel 2 for that matter. (already caught up with Big Brother, the Soup and General Hospital)
  
• mapping out ways to get to Mexico next time w/o having to deal with an airport, people, or long lines in customs where you have to take off your flipflops and walk barefoot through the metal detector. cos thats just hella lame.
• cracking up at the new Office episode. Its like the writers kept all their hilarious jokes a secret during the strike, and put them all into a new episode featuring a dinner party at Michael Scotts. Best line ever "How would you like to invest in Serenity by Jan for $10,000." Followed by Andy's response. I want to watch that ep like 4 more times..
• calling my dermatologist and asking how its possible that a Mediterranean like myself could have the skin of an albino in Mexico, getting a puffy horrible rash all over my arms. NOT cute with sundresses btw (but at least its disappearing now-- AND my face didn't get a rash!)
• trying to remember what else I need to cancel after Gus lost his wallet in Mexico. Don't worry, for some reason my Soc card was in there. Why?! Couldn't tell ya... at least I took out all of his important cards out before we left.. and none of our accounts were touched before we cancelled them. JQ: 1 Identity Theft: 0
