After I mentioned how much I loved my Pajamagram gift for my love of TBS' My Boys, I got a delightful surprise! Pajamagram told me they'd send a lucky JQ Lounge reader their very own pajamagram! How many times can I say Pajamagram in a blog post? I should probably add that to my spell checker now..

Who's the Fiercest of them all?

Did you know there was a Top Model Event called "1st Annual Fiercee Awards"? Tyra claims the extra E stands for the extra fierceness.. but I really think she believes that she can make up her own words and that Websters will add it into their book and give her all the credit. But thats just my theory..

Behold, some former ANTM'ers. Some will surprise you!!! Thanks Ali for sending me the link. I should spell your name Alie (for extra fierceness obvi)

click here for all the pics!

there were a few people on the red carpet, but i refuse to showcase annoying characters (ie: tyra, saleisha, etc..) at the jq lounge...Jaslene! above: THAT's Jade?! are you kidding me?
Joanie!Takara!who doesn't love a slip up on the red carpet!!And my favorite (plus the prettiest), Jay Manuel

BUI is a serious offense..

JQ Lounge correspondant Lisa W sent me the most ridiculously fabulous article.. on Drunk Internet Shopping. BUI (buying under the influence) as they like to call it! I love how Lisa said "This was very JQ Lounge-esque". HA that made my day.

involves people (mostly women) getting real wasted, blacking out and going on online retail benders, typically blowing hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars on clothes and shoes and rings and crap. The weirdest thing was, most of them don't regret it. In fact, one woman referred to this kind of sloppy shopping as "the only thing you can do after a few drinks and not have any regrets." This is presumably because you can return most purchases. But what if you're a cheapo drunk shopper and you buy things on sale? Then you're just screwed? The terror. [source]

I admit I've hit Sephora.com and splurged on a few goodies after a couple glasses of wine. You don't get the guilty "hmmmm I won't be getting paid til next week" butterflies in the stomach. And all you have to do is shut the MacBook if the hubs walks into the room so he can't see what's going on. But now that I think about it.. iridescent purple eyeshadow and bright pink lip gloss is something I probably would've ordered only when I was buzzed..

I KNOW a few of the JQ Loungers have done this... so spill!!!!! I'm such a nosy neighbor..

Inside LC's Hills Reality TV Fashion Show

Note: This is for Hills fans, and I know you're one of them.

NY Mag has an awesome article about Lauren's new clothing line titled "Inside the Sad, Bizarre World That was the Lauren Conrad Show". If this doesn't get you excited.. I don't know what will. To give you a sneak peak.. it involves CHANTAL from ANTM Cycle 9, Kristin Cavelleri, and a couple of ex boyfriends. And did I mention they completely bash her clothing designer ability?!? BTW, wouldn't that LC outfit off her website pictured above look SO HOT on a normal body? Blarf..

ALSO- Heidi was talking trash about LC's fashion line in US Weekly, but it was actually pretty funny! Conveniently enough, Heidi's cheap trashy collection debuts later on this spring.. a few quotes from the article.

Pretty much it sounded like I had more fun getting my wisdom teeth out than most of the people had watching the mediocre fashion show..

"Lauren's line is not necessarily something I would wear," Montag tells Us.

"She's trying a high-fashion thing, but it's a little overpriced," Montag adds. "Mine is fun and flirty for the everyday woman. Most people can't afford $200 for one dress."

Montag also insists she's a more legit fashionista than her former fashion-school classmate.

"When we were in school, I was the designer, and she was in, like, product development," she snipes.

Ahhh, the drama comes back within weeks! I'm sure there's a countdown website for this show somewhere on the internet! OH and Whitney Port is coming out with a fashion line too.

which one do you think will turn out the best? My vote is for Whitney

Um.. I think you're missing something

Heels maybe?!?

British Designer Antonio Berardi believes that his heel-less shoes are fit for the upper class. Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma & Posh have already scooped up a pair, and apparently theres a 5 wk backorder on them in the UK. Golly, and it gets even better- you have to cough up $3,600 to look like a wanker wearing these.

If I saw someone take a spill in these walking down the street, I wouldn't even ask if they needed help getting up! They chose not to wear normal footwear.

What to pair with these shoes?!

Some high wasted jeans.....a pirate top And a smile of course!

The Silver Compass Holder

Nicole Kidman rocked the sexiest space suit EVER to the Aussie premiere of The Golden Compass. BTW did anyone see that movie? I saw this picture on Pagesix and did a doubletake.
What? Who? Why? Hiccup. And the flashes from the cameras didn't help either..

At least her makeup and hair looks pretty?

I'm thinking Snow Queen of Narnia meets Tin Man. Maybe its genius for her premiere. I'm sure some fashionista out there thinks so.

I'm InStyle this Friday..

So you wonder if I'm a football fan-- being a New Englander and having a dreamy Tom Brady as your home teams quarterback? Eh, not really. I do realize the games will be on all day Sunday because the Hubs in a crazy pats fan.. but I really just don't get it! I'll watch baseball, hockey, tennis (NOT golf) and all those seem easy enough to follow.. Anyways, the point is that this is what I did while "watching" the pats beat the colts last Sunday.

I'm a sucker for Makeovers. Its usually my favorite ep in ANTM. Anytime I see a beauty makeover tool on a website, you bet your balls I will be uploading my picture. Last time I did this on iVillage, now there's an even better one on InStyle.com. You can to use Celebrity's hairstyles!!!!!! Drum roll please......So my head is like 3 times the size as Eva's, I'm not sure this is the look for me. And speaking of teeth whitening, Allie- when looking at Eva's smile and mine--I now think I'm a prime candidate.. blarg
OMG i never realized just HOW CLOSE me and Gwen look exactly alike! wwwhhhhaahhh

Aw sweet! This is how I'd look if I just ran a marathon! Good to know!
Kirsten- if you ever need a stunt double. Gimme a call.
When I saw the Rihanna one, I knew I had to try it out cos Valley Girl had just mentioned she got this style.

Oh man, how can I go back to my regular hairstyle now that I know there is SSSOOO much out there!! Happy Friday!

Why doesn't my hair do this?

WhoWhatWearDaily is an awesome fashion website that gives you an insider look to celeb style. (aka what color nail polish are they wearing, latest trends, etc). I love their site's layout, with big pictures, bright colors and pretty things.

This post totally caught my eye, because ever since Reese showed up at last month's Toronto Film Festival in those gorgeous wavy glamour curls, my goal is to someday make my hair do that! Well guess what, WWWD tells you how to do it.

Does that mean it will ever get done? Most likely nopers.

A Bra & A Bridge

Ladies will appreciate National Geographic's look at the Secret History of the Bar. As for this post's title, an expert was on the Today Show this morning saying that the engineering behind a bra & a bridge are quite similar b/c they "support" things. Genius.

Fact: Caterpillar spit, dirt, crude oil and molten metal are several of the ingredients in a bra.

America's Ex Top Models

How excited are we all for tonite?!??? I saw this awesome fashion layout in Radar Magazine featuring some familiar ANTM faces. A few of the broads featured: Keena, Naima, Kahlen, Brittany, and Shandi. Interesting note: it said that even though Naima won Cycle 4, she has yet to parlay her Cover Girl contract into any major bookings. "I just quit my waitressing job", said Naima "People kept recognizing me as I was pouring their coffee." Tyra probably blacklists all them so she can promote her talk show instead.

I scanned in some pages, b/c I couldn't find the spread on Radaronline, click for the full page.

Bet Heidi won't be seen in these!

Lauren Conrad's self titled Clothing Line had its website launch this week. The clothes are clean cut and simple, but the price is more appropriate for those living in Laguna Beach.

A few items from the site:
The dresses range in $130-$150, while the tank tops range from $40 - $100. Love the choice of names: Lo Dress, Audrina Dress.

Unfortunately the Heidi tube sox and the Jen Bunny control top panties were not included on the website.

A Glance @ the Natick Collection

As I mentioned previously, The Natick Collection opened up last Friday. Figured I'd skip the weekend dedicated shopping traffic and took a drive over there this morning. The addition they added on is pretty insane. Took a few pics, but you get it.. there's more shopping available now..The new wing. The mall was a good size to begin with, but now its ridonculous..in a so good its bad kinda way.
Anthropologie and Lush! Perfect new additions.

You have to try a Bath Bomb from Lush, its the BEST way to relax after a stressful day. New flavor I picked up today: Champagne Supernova

Natick Collection Opens Today!

Not just the Natick Mall anymore. Its the Natick Collection. Massachusetts' fashion world just stretched out a little towards the suburbs today. Lots of new fun places to see, shoes to buy and makeup to apply. There's now a Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics (my fffavorite), and many many more. Plus if you are a dedicated shopper, you can even LIVE there! Nouvelle at Natick are the fancy schmancy condos debuting as well. Maybe you should just buy one so you can store all your purchases there.

The 'burbs never looked hotter...

What are Young Girls Wearing??

Emily Yoffe from Slate.com recently wrote an article called Lolita's Closet about Back to School shopping with her daughter. They hit up the mecca of young girls/tween clothing, the Limited Too, where she was shocked to find so many scandalous clothing items for 7-12 yr olds. The article is a great read because things have changed SO FREAKIN' MUCH since you and I went back to school shopping with our parents. I remember when stretch pant stir-ups with the matching turtleneck underneath a Limited Too sweatshirt was the cool thing to do. And throw in a pair of Moccasins too with tube socks!

Exhibit A: Check out this killer outfit from Limited Too I had to scan in, because describing it in text wouldn't do it justice! This is what I wore to Sports camp, how I'm not editor-in-Chief right now at Lucky beats me!

Granted the new clothes are COMPLETELY more fashionable than this, but come on! No more low cut 'lingerie' style shirts for 7-12 year olds! Cover up!!

Top image: Shirt that says "I Make Straight A's in Cuteness" from Limited Too.

The Truman Show.. Cosmo girl style

Allie from Washington DC blogs everyday about what outfit she is wearing. Girls will definitely dig her urban, yet preppy style. This blog is so fun to read! Check it out: My Wardrobe Today

Its always fun going through someone else's closet!

Fall already?

Today Show had a segment on great Fall fashion finds for under $100. Most of it was pretty cute. Especially the dresses. The dress on the right is from Necessary Objects (you can usually find that label at Nordstroms) and its under $80. One fad for fall is purple metallic nail polish instead of the infamous Chanel Black Satin craze.

Click here to check out the goods. And go outside in the sun and soak it up before you blink and its Fall.

Fun site to check out on Glamour.com called Don'tspotting! While its always a fun feature to read in the magazine, you can't help but click through the pics online. A few of my favs:And ofcourse, they have a lot of DO's as well (which I know all the readers of the JQ Lounge are):

Oh Honey you didn't!

So Santa threw a giftcard to Victorias Secret in my stocking this past Christmas.. what a perv right?? Well today I glanced through the website to see whats going on in the wonderful world of Giselle (aka my twin). And then it dawned on me.. Imagine if you bought your girlfriend or wife a giftcard and they spent it on this???

Victoria's Secret Wide crewneck sweatshirt $29.

Better yet, it'd have to be wrapped up in a big Victoria's Secret box with a bow, just to add the extra glamour. That'd be the funniest thing that would have happened to you that day. Oh shush, she's obviously wearing a ridiculous Vicky's getup underneath that ensemble...

Gifts.com is right on the buzzer

So i was checking the web browser on gus' laptop (completely by accident! OBviously) and i saw Gift.com on there. Which is funny because I have kept on seeing those Jamie Lee Curtis commercials for the website, which after filling out a profile they tell you what to buy them. I finally asked Gus about this a few minutes ago and he said, Actually- I didn't end up picking out any of the things they suggested. But you wanna know what you were catergorized as?

A Country Clubber.
"
Her average day might start with a friendly game of doubles tennis at the club, followed by lunch to hash out the details—she's great with details—on an upcoming charity event. She would then slide behind the wheel of her car (probably German) to get her manicure (probably French). By evening, you may find her at the yacht club sipping a top-shelf martini as straight up and classic as her mother's pearls, which she's been known to borrow on occasion. She does it all with grace and good taste—for her, proper etiquette is effortless.
Famous Example: Charlotte York - "Sex and the City", The Kennedys" Loves it. And loves Christmas.

He then thought the categorizing was pretty funny so he filled out the survey for himself (he was a geek) and Legno (who ofcourse was a metrosexual).

Legno's Fashion Show Gift Bag..

So today I received another FedEx package from Legno.

(if you recall a few weeks ago he sent me a gift bag from the Zac Posen Fashion show in NYC). Here are the pics!
The card reads "Please enjoy these, complimentary of the Joe Lowlicht Fashion Show At the Hampton Inn in Sturbridge, MA"

And the contents?
Shampoo, Conditioner, and hair net that came with the hotel room. TOO FUNNY.
*Plus a very pretty framed pic of me and gus during our first dance.
Thank you Kanye! I loves it!!
